Using it in a classroom

A first lesson that works
Give everyone the same one-sentence brief and let the description box do the first draft. Something with a clear shape — a character walks in, finds something unexpected, and reacts — gets a timeline on screen inside two minutes, which is the difference between a lesson about animation and a lesson about waiting for software.
Then the actual teaching: have them change only the timing and watch the same animation again. Slowing a beat down and adding a hold is the single clearest demonstration of what animation is, and it needs no drawing ability at all. Posing and Flipbook drawing are the natural second and third lessons for whoever wants them.
Where it fits beyond art
A stick figure is often the clearest way to show a process, which makes this useful well outside an art room. Science students can animate a cycle or a mechanism. Language students can build a short dialogue scene, since each timeline segment can carry a speech bubble. History and drama classes can stage an event without anybody having to draw a face.
The honest limitation is the hardware. It wants a mouse and a reasonably wide screen — it will load on a tablet, but a room of phones is not the right setting for it.
